Advertising - Lecturer


The Media School at Indiana University Bloomington invites applications for a faculty position in advertising. This is a non-tenure track lecturer position for someone with significant professional experience in leading advertising strategy and campaign development across traditional and emerging media formats. The Media School provides a supportive environment for teaching across media disciplines, with advertising as one of its fastest growing areas of concentration. The ideal applicant should hold a BA degree at a minimum and have peer or public recognition of

achievement in the advertising industry. An advanced degree is preferred. The successful applicant will be expected to serve a leadership role in developing/refining our advertising and strategic communication curriculum and teach courses such as Introduction to Integrated Marketing Communication, Principles of Creative Advertising, Elements of Strategic Planning, and Advanced Advertising Strategies. This new colleague will also be encouraged to design innovative courses that will advance the professional development of students across the converged media landscape.  The appointment starts on August 1, 2018.
