Andy Herbertz has over 25 years of advertising experience.  He has worked at Tropicana Entertainment in Evansville, Indiana for the past eighteen years.  He began his career there as a Graphic Artist and was eventually promoted to his current position of Advertising and Public Relations Manager.  He is actively involved in day-to-day marketing strategies, art direction and copywriting for their casino, two hotels, eight restaurants, conference center, and entertainment venues.  AHe previously worked in local television promotion for an ABC and a FOX affiliate.  Andy has served as the President of the American Advertising Federation of Greater Evansville three times and is currently serving as their Secretary for 2016-17.

Lisa Verkamp, Marketing Director for the YMCA of Southwestern Indiana, has been in the advertising industry since 2004 and made the leap onto the client side in 2013 working as a department of one managing all marketing and communications for the YMCA.  She has served on the Board of Directors for AAF-Greater Evansville since 2009, having served in every major executive role throughout her tenure.  Verkamp is a graduate of the University of Southern Indiana, where she also teaches as an adjunct instructor of Advertising Strategy in addition to her full-time work at the YMCA.

Heather Kelley is Principal at V2 Marketing  Communications in Rockford, IL and has a full range of experience in designing and implementing creative product marketing campaigns. Her background includes coordinating community events, mainstream media and social media advertising as well. She is the current President of the Harlem School District Board in Machesney Park, IL and is Past President of AAF-Northern Illinois. Heather was also a recipient of Rockford Chamber’s Forty Leaders Under 40 Recognition and Woman Business Leader of Tomorrow Award in 2011 and the People You Should Know Award in 2015.

Lars Lawson is founder and principal of Timber Design Company. Timber is a design & advertising studio specializing in brand identity, packaging, advertising strategy, and print design. Since its beginning in 2006, Lars has been recognized consistently for design excellence and creativity. His broad range of work includes identity design, photography, illustration, writing & interior commercial space. Lars has personally received over a hundred Gold Addy Awards across all levels, including three Gold National awards and two local Best of Show. His work has been featured in national design annuals & publications including LogoLounge, How, Print and Communication Arts. He has served on various local & district AAF boards for over 6 years.

She manages all the social media for both of her businesses. Beth has been involved with AAF Peoria for over five years. She chaired the Addys, served at Vice President, President and Past President.

Andy Morris is the President & CEO of Mater Dei Catholic High School in Evansville, Indiana.  His background includes managing sales operations for television, radio and multimedia channels as well idea generation and creative consulting.  He has spent the majority of his time in data-driven digital sales channels, developing new revenue sources and territories, and creating new positions in departments based on the demand of these new channels.  His past experience in marketing and advertising along with team leadership and effective financial management has led him to working for the Catholic Church and creating new opportunities to promote Catholic Education in Southwestern, Indiana.  Andy has a passion for education, students and their families, and most importantly, for the Church.  “Working in the non-profit sector, especially for the Catholic Church, has been a rewarding ministry and I look forward to the many ways we can create quality educational programs for our youth in the vocations they seek in their lives.”    

   

He was most recently the President of the American Advertising Federation for Greater Evansville where he has served in that capacity for 2 years, as well has been a board member for over 6 years.

She was named a 2017 Mover and Shaker in the social media industry by PR News and Social Media Today. She was most recently the president of AAF Michiana from 2017-2019 and served on the Board of Directors as the Communications Chair from 2014-2017.

Since 1984, Kevin McCowan has been in all aspects of the printing industry from production to sales. He became a member of AAF – East Central IN 1998. He has served as President three terms, chaired most committees and was named AAF’s National President of the Year in 2008. Kevin has judged several American Advertising Award Competitions for AAF clubs. He has chaired AAF District 6 American Advertising Awards Competition. In his spare time, he is a certified softball umpire and an accomplished bowler with three perfect games.
