Fort Wayne, IN to Host AAF's District 6 Fall Leadership Conference PDF Print E-mail

Fort Wayne, IN — (August 19, 2009) – Fort Wayne, Indiana has been selected as the host city for the American Advertising Federation (AAF) District Six 2009 Fall Conference. The conference, themed “Cerebral Harvest,” is scheduled for October 2 and 3 at the Lincoln Financial Event Center at Parkview Field.

The two-day conference will sow the seeds of creativity and reap bushels of new ideas. Featured guest speaker, Monica Edwards, Marketing Director for Vera Bradley, will explain how two friends turned quilted country fabrics, hard work and creativity into an international powerhouse.

The cost for AAF members is $45 for Friday (10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.), $40 for Saturday (8 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.), or $75 for both days. A special rate at the downtown Hilton Hotel is available for out-of-town attendees. For more details, visit aafd6.info .

AAF District 6 Fall Conference Chair, John Hogan comments, “The Fall Leadership Conference is a time for our District to come together to learn and network. During these challenging economic times and possible recovery, we can help one another with lessons learned and energize for the next great opportunities.”

“We’re excited to showcase our local club and our city, but even more importantly, our goal is to nurture our profession and educate tomorrow’s advertising professionals,” adds Andie Golden, Local Chair of the District Six Fall Conference and VP of Programs for the American Advertising Federation of Fort Wayne, the local AAF club.

District Six of the AAF is comprised of more than 6,000 members in 19 clubs and non-affiliated organizations throughout Indiana, Illinois and Michigan. The conference is an opportunity for AAF members to come together for the purpose of professional and club development. Attendees will be exposed to innovative and entertaining strategies to help them grow professionally and to help advertising clubs develop strong roots within their communities.

The American Advertising Federation is the unifying voice for advertising across the nation, bringing together the mutual interests of corporate advertisers, agencies, media companies, suppliers and academia.
